Biography:
I started playing bass as a freshman in high school ('95). I chose bass because there was a lot of people playing guitar and I wanted to be different, but Pops wouldn't allow anything but a headphone amp at first, much less a drum kit.
I started really loving bass and I got to play in a few different groups because no one else played bass (small town). At the same time I played around on friend's guitars and eventually acquired one. In college (music major - bass), I sat down on a drum kit and it felt right. Started playing drums with a few groups and at church. Never gigged much in college, but I wish I had.
I continue to play in church, but I play guitar now. I enjoy recording and do that for friends semi-often.
I now have quite a few instruments. I have a Variax 500 guitar, a Variax 705 bass, a Douglas 5-string fretless bass from RondoMusic (great gear for cheap), a classical acoustic from Rondo, a Breedlove steel string, a Pintech/Roland eDrum Kit, a 5-string cello (strung with a low F), a yamaha midi keyboard, and a few Hohner Marine Band harmonicas. I play them all, but the guitars, basses and drums get the most attention.
