I suspect the answer to this is "No", but is there a way to backup User settings from the Spider IV (via an FBV presumably)?
If not, can someone take that as a suggestion for enhancement.
Hopefully I'll never need it, but just in case.
no there's no way at the moment.
if you want to suggest a new feature then the tech support chaps from Line6 who come on this forum aren't the right people to see it. you need to fill out a feedback/new feature request form here: http://line6.com/company/contact/
there is a blink out feature where you can get the amp to tell you the settings for a patch so you can write them down. check out the advanced manual and I think it's in there.
+1 to Rowbi's response.
Please use the link that he provided to submit a feature request at the product feedback link.

Thanks Rowbi and Hugo.
I wasn't sure if perhaps there was a backup feature or some computer access (something like I believe the Flextone supported).
I know I could write down my settings, but that'd be a pain especially with the deep editing (which is excellent) and that's the sort of busiwork that computers are supposed to do, right?
Plus, it'd be slick if there were a GUI to work on the settings (similar to PODFarm).
I'll make the suggesion on the link Rowbi provided.
Thanks again.
