HELP!- Unwanted Distortion!

I got myself a toneport UX1 a month ago, it worked fine till yesterday. For some reason, everything that I play through the UX1 seems distorted...probably sounds like what you'd hear if  you tried playing almost anything through an amp with distortion or overdrive turned up all the way to 10. Has anyone heard of such stuff happening with the UX1 ? I've tried searching the forums...no luck!

RE: HELP!- Unwanted Distortion!

Hi,

That could happen if the USB port or the driver installed for that port got corrupted for whatever reason.

Usually, the quickest fix is to unplug your device from the current USB port and plug into a different direct USB port. After the driver is installed for that port, check the audio quality. If it's still distorted, unplug device. Then, download a new copy of the latest Driver Installer from our Download page. Reinstalling the drivers might help if the problem was in the previous driver install.

If you install the drivers on a different computer altogether and test the operation of your hardware device, this will provide you with an answer as to whether the issue is occurring in your USB unit. If it still does the same thing on a different computer, chances are there is hardware malfunctioning in your unit.
