Hello-
Just bought a Pocket Pod and would like to update to the new flash ver. via L6 Monkey by my Vista Home Prem. laptop won't recognize my PP. When I plug in the USB it automatically searches for a driver/ then says: USB Device Not Recognized etc.. Is there any trick to getting the Pocket Pod setup as a Midi device in Vista that I should be trying? (For what it's worth Vyzex can't see my PP either when I am asked to select input midi device.)
Thanks, L6 Bros!
I am not too desperate, however because I do still have my M13 to play with in the studio! The PP is for portable joy! Cheers!
Hello,
Have you tried updating your Vista OS to SP II? I just tried this on the front port of our Vista machine and it was not recognized, but when I connected to the back USB ports it was recognized right away. Be sure that the Pocket POD is getting power from a battery or DC adaptor. See the following link for more USB connectivity tips:

Thanks very much for the input, Andy. Here is what I have attempted thus far: I slicked and re-installed Vista Home Premium on my laptop (Sony Viao), upgraded to SP2. I then tried plugging to all 4 USB ports- still no joy. I have 2 other desktop PCs (both with XP & 2.0 USB ports) still can't get the Pocket Pod recognized by ANY. Let me point out that ALL of the ports, on all of my cpu's DO acknowledge that I have plugged in to the port.... I just keep getting "device not recognized" errors. At this point I am willing to buy an upgraded USB card: either and express card for the laptop or another pci interface for one of my PC's. Has anyone else gone through this & what/which upgraded USB cards are proven or reccomended?? Thanks for any assistance on this! Cheers!
Anyways...OH WELL, I have given up on the idea of connecting the Pocket Pod to any of my computers. Have tried everything, from XP to Vista, 4 different CPUs...etc.. (I guess the unit I have could be deffective but who knows!?!) I am grateful that I never had these types of issues with my X3 Live, Toneport, and my M13! (Thank you L6 for at least supporting those units very well!) I am content with the idea of my Pocket Pod being a stand-alone, soley for travel and emergency jamming. I still think it is an incredible little package, just the same!
Hello,
If you've tried connecting the Pocket POD to several computers with the same issue then the Pocket POD may have a hardware issue specifically with the USB jack on it. If you've had the Pocket POD for less than 90 days then you are still under warranty so I'd suggest you contact your closest service center or call us directly to arrange a repair or replacement.

Yes, thanks...I picked it up at my local Best Buy a few weeks ago. I will pursue replacing or exchanging the unit.
Best regards!
Glad we could help!
