How is Bass PODXT Live different than Bass PODXT and Bass PODXT Pro?

Bass POD® Live is a complete tone rig built into a rugged, live performance oriented foot controller. The foot controller gives you direct patch access, “Stomp” switches to toggle individual effects as well as the amp and cab model, and the ability to set your tempo and tune your bass. The unit has the same basic connections as a Bass POD® (bean), but in addition to traditional analog ins and outs, Bass POD Live features a Variax® Bass digital connector. This allows you to digitally connect a Line 6 Variax Bass 700 with a single cable to Bass POD Live, which powers the bass, carries your sound output, and allows the Bass POD live to send remote patch change and expression messages to the Variax. A single step on a preset switch will reconfigure your effects, amp and cab model - plus set the bass model and tone information on a connected Variax!

There’s also a CD/Line input for jamming along with your favorite tunes or hooking up a drum machine, and an input pad control normally only found on Bass POD® Pro.

What amp and cabinet models are in Bass PODXT Live?

Bass POD Live features the same groundbreaking amp, cab, and effects models found in Bass POD and Bass POD Pro. Included are over 50 stompbox, synth, and studio effects, 28 bass amp models, plus 22 bass cab and 4 mic models.

What does the USB port do?

The USB port allows direct digital recording from your Bass POD Live to your Mac® or PC, plus the ability to use Bass POD Live to play back audio from your computer like a soundcard. It also allows you to perform software updates and communicate with MIDI applications such as the Line 6 Monkey intelligent updater.

You can get the required driver software — and easily get it installed along with any other Bass POD Live -related computer stuff — by using the free Line 6 Monkey software, which you can download at www.line6.com/monkey.

COMING SOON – Line 6 Edit™ for Bass POD Live

Line 6 Edit allows you to see what you’re hearing and create as many tones as your computer hard drive can handle. Now you can easily keep track of thousands of tones for all the different gigs, bands, and sessions you’re doing.
