How is Bass PODXT different from Bass POD?
In addition to brand new groundbreaking amp and cabinet models built from the award-winning modeling technology found in our flagship Vetta™ guitar amplifier, Bass POD® XT delivers 6 simultaneous effects that can be flexibly routed to meet your unique sonic needs. These effects include more classic models of filter, stompbox and studio effects as well as a dedicated compressor and a dedicated 6 band semi-parametric EQ. In addition, Bass PODXT offers USB support for Digital Audio In & Out, an intuitive screen display for deep patch editing, bi-amp output made with selectable crossover, and Flash memory that allows for easy upgrades so you can always incorporate the latest innovations from Line 6 as they become available.
Is it compatible with Line 6 Edit and the www.CustomTone.com online library?
Line 6 Edit™ and the online tone library do not currently support the Bass PODXT or Bass POD® XT Pro. We are working on adding support for them in 2004, but are not able to give a more specific schedule for that support at this time.
What foot controllers work with Bass PODXT?
FBV™ series foot controllers FBV, FBV Shortboard™, FBV4™ work with Bass PODXT and Bass PODXT Pro. The Floor Board® and FB4™ are incompatible with Bass PODXT and Bass PODXT Pro.
What is the USB connector for?
The USB connector allows you to perform direct digital recording via the Bass PODXT’s drivers. For Windows® users, these drivers support ASIO, WDM, MME/Direct Sound and MIDI. For Macintosh® OS9 users, these drivers support ASIO and Sound Manager.
What is the A.I.R. II?
A.I.R. II is Line 6's second-generation Acoustically Integrated Recording technology. It expands your sonic choices and creative options by allowing you to choose from 4 different microphone models for each cabinet and adjust their placement in front of the cabinet.

Does Bass PODXT support Models Packs?
The Bass PODXT family of devices was built from the ground up with the most important features for bass players in mind. They are completely unique and different in design from the guitar family of (Guitar) POD® XT Products. As a result, at this time none of the Model Packs are available for Bass PODXT or Bass PODXT Pro.
Can Bass PODXT be used live?
Yes. The Bass PODXT features a "live mode" that gives you the best of both worlds when playing live. Just use the XLR outputs to feed the soundboard for pristine board-ready tone, and simultaneously use the 1/4" outputs, which are optimized for your onstage amp & cabs.
